The 10th Annual College Fair
is an excellent opportunity for students and families to learn what it takes to get into college and how to avoid incurring thousands of dollars in student loan debt.
HISTORY
Turner Chapel AME is the largest majority African-American church in Cobb County, with a membership base of over 6,000. Our Senior Pastor, Rev. Dr. Tar-U-way Bright, stresses to our students the importance of education and supports the Education Ministry as we discover creative methods to encourage students to aim high and achieve. Many of the students in our congregation attend over 125 colleges and universities across the country. We are excited about our four Gates Millennium Scholars, two Posse Scholars and the many other students who are receiving academic and athletic scholarships.
Turner's annual College Fair serves as a catapult for our students and others in the community to make positive connections with perspective colleges and universities. This event has been extremely successful averaging over 1,200 students and parents from metro Atlanta and surrounding areas, including Alabama, Tennessee & South Carolina.
